Head of Design role for Fujitsu

I worked as the Head of Design at Fujitsu, where I lead a team of designers, built a design system for the organization that became the base of all future projects. The scope of the system was to be able to build these components once and reuse them in multiple projects with just a quick reskin and brand application. With this system, we were able to build custom and complex B2B projects, focusing on UX flows, architecture and technology but very much accelerate the front end work. I lead the design efforts in Fujitsu’s Blockchain projects, mostly for sustainability, B2B and Fintech industries.

I also made sure to create an environment where collaboration thrived, encouraging the team to share ideas and feedback openly. We had regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions, which helped keep our processes fresh and adaptable. This approach not only boosted our creativity but also made our designs more user-focused and effective. We continually refined our design system based on these sessions, keeping it up-to-date and useful across different projects and industries.
I also put a lot of emphasis on integrating user research and usability testing into our workflow. By setting up a solid process for collecting and analyzing user feedback, we made better design decisions that really improved the user experience. Working closely with the research team, we pinpointed key issues and areas for improvement, shaping our design strategies accordingly. This user-centered approach didn’t just make our work better; it also built stronger relationships with our clients because they saw real, positive changes in their projects based on our detailed attention to user needs.
